Here’s a round-up of my favorite gifts for artists and special treats for all creative entrepreneurs. Personally, I’m a graphic designer, and I’d love to receive any of these gifts for Christmas, my Birthday, my Business Anniversary, or any other occasion! Most of these suggestions will be gifts for female entrepreneurs, but any creative person can enjoy them.

A Fully Planned Evening (Free – $$$)

This one can cost you basically nothing if you want. Small business owners are always making decisions, and if your small business owner is a woman, she’s also likely making lots of house, food, kids, etc. decisions too. So the best thing you can do is plan a night of no decisions. Tell her you’ve picked out an outfit, a meal, an activity, a movie, whatever it is, and all she has to do is attend! It may seem simple, but this is literally the dream. The biggest decision she should have to make is “Do you want dessert before or after the movie?”.

Cute Office Supplies ($-$$)

We literally all love cute office supplies. A few of my faves:

• Pretty much anything from Elyse Breanne. The mousepads and desk mats are especially unique and come in lots of fun patterns.
• All the desk organizers from Rifle Paper Co
• Love these heart shaped sticky notes from Amazon as a stocking stuffer
• Never underestimate the power of their favorite pens! Here’s some great sherbet-colored gel pens

The Best Pens ($)

Seriously, you can’t go wrong with the best pens. My favorite pens are:

• The Bic Cristal $1.57 for a 10-pack
• The Uni-Ball Signo is another popular choice
• Micron Pens are the best for drawing
• These pens are a worldwide favorite and come in tons of colors
  (you can buy them individually if you want!)

Celebratory Milestones (~$25)

We see “new house” or “just married” or “baby’s first” Christmas ornaments all the time. But you can show your entrepreneur that their business is just as important to them as all of that with a celebratory business ornament. I designed some this year and you can check them out here!

A Massage (~$100)

Just saying. Sometimes you just need to relax. Bonus: Let them schedule it themselves (but make sure they actually do!) so that they can schedule it after an especially stressful time.

A Label Printer ($70-200)

This is perfect for any artist who ships a lot of orders! The Rollo is the classic, but there are lots of cute options, including this pink one for $70. Make sure you get one that can print on 4×6 shipping labels, but they can also use it to make their own stickers! Bonus if you include a roll of labels in the gift too.

Niche Merch ($-$$)

A lot of small business owners want to show off their own industry inside jokes or pride for their work. I designed some shirts and totes for small business owners, mostly stationery designers like me, and I just love wearing them around or seeing other designers wear them! If you search your entrepreneur’s field you can find something similar for them that they’ll love!

A Canva Pro Subscription ($120 for a year)

Canva is such a powerful tool for any entrepreneur. I’m a graphic designer, meaning I have lots of great graphic design programs already. But Canva is versatile, simple, and portable. This makes it especially helpful for social media graphics, presentations, and more.

A Canvas Lamp ($100-200)

We all know that social media is important for small business owners. This lamp is a tough splurge for some artists, which makes it one of the best gifts for entrepreneurs. Custom Branded Wax Seal / Packaging ($$)

Providing some awesome new branding materials will show your support for their business in a fun way! There’s nothing like seeing your branding on physical items!

A custom wax seal with their logo is always a great option (I like the 1” circle option from Nostalgic Impressions for $50). Bonus if you include some wax sticks in their branding colors to go with it!

Another fun packaging option is custom tissue paper or custom mailer envelopes. No Issue is a sustainable company that offers lots of customizable packing supplies.

A Class for a New Skill ($$-$$$)

If there’s one thing I know about artists, it’s that we’re always trying to learn new skills. This year, I am signing up for a new digital illustration class. You can look locally for classes on painting, calligraphy, design, etc. or find a plethora of classes online. If you’re not sure of the exact class, a membership to Skillshare (~$150/year) will allow your entrepreneur to learn tons of skills from artists and educators all over the world!
